L Citrulline

In the body, citrulline is converted into l-arginine, an amino acid that produces a small molecule that dilates blood vessels, allowing working muscles to absorb more oxygen and nutrients and remove metabolic waste. It is used as a supplement to exercise performance due to its cardiovascular effects that optimize blood flow. In our body it consists of two amino acids, L-arginine and L, as well as two other compounds. The dosage of citrulline is typically between 6 and 18 grams per day, and it is often sold in the form of citrulla malate. However, there is some confusion as to what Citruline 1 means when taken at short notice and g – a – daily. Sources: 0, 1

NYU Langone Medical Center notes that supplements often promote l-citrulline as a supplement to improve aerobic performance and improve anaerobic exercise performance. However, there is no evidence that it can improve aerobic training, and in some ways it can still be useful in terms of training. Sources: 1

While the use of amino acids in sports nutrition is quite common, only a few athletes are familiar with l-citrulline. From now on simply referred to as “CitruLLine,” it is simply a protein building block that some of you may be familiar with. In contrast to many amino acids, citruline is not used to build up structural proteins in the bodySources: 6

Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid, meaning it can be produced by the body from other nutrients. This means that if the conditions are right, your body can make other compounds. The proposed use of CitruLLine as a supplement is based on the increase in arginine levels. Sources: 4, 6

The key role of citrulline is to help the body in a process known as the urea cycle, in which it excretes a toxic metabolite called ammonia. It also plays an important role in the physiological process known as the urea cycle, which converts toxic ammonia into urea. Sources: 4, 6

Citrulline can also be easily converted into an amino acid called arginine in the body (see Figure 1). This is important because archinin is readily used to produce an important signaling molecule called nitric oxide, which has the potential to increase blood flow to muscles, offering potential benefits during exercise. This version is unlikely to affect performance in the weight room, but endurance athletes may not want to take it during the important workout. It also has a high concentration of arginine, a substance known to cause physical exhaustion. Sources: 2

Citrulline is associated with arginine, but these days it is increasingly omitted altogether, so it forgets the main billing. In addition to malic acid, there is a small amount of citrulla, a powerful anti-inflammatory, and a high concentration of l-acetylcholine. Sources: 2

The most likely explanation is that conversion to arginine increases the production of nitric oxide in the intestinal area, and this helps to compensate for the tendency to SH, as it increases blood flow to the small blood vessels. This means that citrulline is used to make archinin, but it also helps to stimulate nitric oxide (no – production), which acts as a vasodilator, opening blood vessels and increasing blood flow to muscles. Sources: 2, 6

Food supplement l – citrulline malate increases the nitric oxide (no – metabolite) content, although this reaction is not related to an improvement in athletic performance. There is also evidence that by increasing blood flow to the gut, cramps and nausea can be prevented in athletes who are prone to intestinal problems after intense physical activity. Citrulliin is one of the most effective anti-inflammatory drugs in the world, and recent animal and human studies suggest that it may be able to improve exercise performance in a variety of ways, including by lowering blood pressure and glucose levels, and by reducing inflammation. Sources: 5, 6

The importance of l – citrulline for ergogenic support arises from the fact that it is not subject to pre-systemic elimination and could therefore be a more efficient method of increasing the extracellular content of L – arginine than with L – arginine. This amino acid is important for the production of nitric oxide, which is then converted into nitrous oxide by the kidney. It is produced by the body and increases vasodilation, which means that more blood flows into the muscles during work. As we get older, we incorporate more of it into our muscles, and this increases the amount of l-citrulline in the blood and thus the number of blood vessels.
